Affinity Panorama Styleframes

Marketing can be rough. Depending on the data you’re looking at, you might not have a complete picture of what your customers are interested in outside of your business. Affinity Solutions created Panorama to help marketers better understand and reach customers by allowing them to serve more useful, relevant, and timely ads while maintaining customer privacy.

The problem, as with many tech products, is that it’s hard to visualize something that happens behind the scenes. Data mining is a hot topic so it was important to communicate that all of this data is user-permissioned and that their privacy is respected.

Even if rough storyboards aren’t a formal milestone, it’s still super helpful to visually jot down ideas to get a very early sense of how the video will flow.

Concept Map

Many of the stakeholders for this project were solidly left-brained people - very analytical and good with numbers. To help clarify the proposed visuals, I created this sort-of logic map. Raw data was a piece of the audience development, insights and measurement. Panorama looked at where those overlapped (literally overlapped in the below graphic) to reveal relevant, useful insights that could be used.
